Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is my PDF file uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens directly in your web browser using JavaScript (PDF.js). Your PDF file is never uploaded to any server, ensuring your privacy.

Why do some complex PDFs look different or take longer?

PDF.js renders the PDF onto a canvas element, which is then converted to JPG. Complex PDFs with many layers, transparency, or special fonts might render slightly differently than in a native PDF viewer or take longer to process, especially on less powerful devices.

What is JPG Quality?

JPG is a lossy compression format. A lower quality value (closer to 0.1) results in a smaller file size but may introduce visible artifacts. A higher value (closer to 1.0) preserves more detail but results in a larger file size. 0.9 is generally a good balance.
